The Houston Sting topped the Tree City Black Squirrels, 8-5, in Donnie Moore League action at Woodland Park. The player of the game was Houston pitcher Morgan Hassell. Houston reliever Morgan Hassell got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Cory Kieck was tagged with the loss. Houston is now 30-35.

Steve Pollard said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the bottom of the 15th. Pollard belted a 3-run home run to stake Houston to a 8-5 lead. His 7th home run of the season came off Tree City pitcher Cory Kieck.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Pollard said.
