Sting Pin 5-2 Loss on Hornets
|
Though he had a great game, Francisco Molina could not single-handedly produce a win for Bethesda. Houston won the game, 5-2. Molina was named the player of the game. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. The win was Tim Medlin's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Francisco Vargo took the loss for Bethesda. Shih-k'ai Mi earned the save for Houston, his 6th.
Making an impact for Houston was right fielder John Thompson. He drilled a 2-run double in the bottom of the second. For the game, Thompson was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It's good to win," Thompson told the Houston Today. "I like to have fun doing it."
Houston is 4th in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division with a record of 29-35.
