Bums Spoil Great Performance by Thibodeau
|
Dan Thibodeau had a good game, but he could not keep the Brisbane Bush Wackers from falling, 6-4, to the Palm Beach Bums at Baylor Ballpark. The Brisbane first baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Bob Sulewski got credit for the save for Palm Beach. It was his 14th of the year. Their 31-33 record puts the Bums 5th in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
Ricardo Gómez was a key contributor to the win for the Bums. In the top of the second with two out, the light-hitting first baseman stroked a single to center. He was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Gómez said.
