The Stroudsburg Shade stopped the Barrow Frosties, 4-1, at Tim Raines Stadium. The Shade got a big game from Júlio Jiménez, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times. The save was credited to Doug Durham, his 5th. The third-place Shade are now 33-29, the Frosties 39-23.
Wes McCoy was one of the major contributors to the win for Stroudsburg. The light-hitting first baseman stroked a single to right-center in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the day, he went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Stroudsburg manager Juan Rivera. "It's usually not just one thing."
