Pollard, Sting Fall to Hornets

Houston center fielder Steve Pollard pounded Bethesda Hornets pitchers at Woodland Park, but it was not enough to keep the Sting from falling, 8-6. Pollard was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Today's win puts Bethesda at 36-27, while Houston falls to 28-35.
Antonio Aguilar had a productive at-bat for the Hornets with one out in the top of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the pinch hitter hit a run-scoring single. The at-bat was important in the Bethesda win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Aguilar told the Bethesda Bulletin.
