Flowers, Princes Beat Black Squirrels, 5-2

With third baseman Mike Flowers leading the charge, the Bel Air Princes defeated the Tree City Black Squirrels, 5-2, at The Nut House. Flowers, who is tied for 8th in the AHL in home runs with 8, was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The last-place Princes now have a win-loss record of 21-39.
The Princes got an important contribution from left fielder John Farley, who in the top of the second knocked a 0-1 slider into right for a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Princes ahead, 2-0.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Farley told a Bel Air Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
