In a low-scoring tilt between the Dallas Texans and the San Diego Hops, Paul Johnston was the difference-maker. The Dallas right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-1 win. Adrien Clément earned the save for Dallas, his 20th of the year. The Texans saw their record improve to 31-23.

The Dallas win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Rodrigo Quiñones. In the top of the first, the Dallas shortstop came to bat and hit a 2-run home run. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.
