In a high-scoring contest between Stroudsburg and Palm Beach, right fielder Wes McCoy was a difference-maker. McCoy earned player of the game honors in the 10-8 Stroudsburg win. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Shade saw their win-loss record go to 32-27. At the same time, the Bums fell to 29-31.

Stroudsburg grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Carlos Ortíz delivered a 2-run double, to make it 6-4 in favor of the Shade.

In comments to the Stroudsburg Gazette, McCoy admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
