Streaking Warriors Win Another One
The Winfield Warriors beat the Nichols Gnats, 6-4, at The Pond. Winfield third baseman Alex Velez earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. Winfield reliever Jesús Gallegos picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Luis Pina absorbed the loss. Konrad Dortmans earned the save for Winfield, his 1st.

Esteban Ramirez's at-bat in the top of the third was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 0-0. The Winfield center fielder hit a 2-run single off Luis Pina to put the Warriors up.
