The St. Paul Saints got production from their entire lineup in an easy 16-2 win over the Charleston Panthers. Player of the game honors went to right fielder Jeff Bettcher. Bettcher, who is tied for 10th in the BOL with a .524 slugging percentage, went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, 3 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3. Jose Barraza earned the save for St. Paul, his 3rd of the year. The 'W' lifts St. Paul's record to 22-30.

Early in the game, designated hitter Matt Tullos had a run-scoring single for St. Paul. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Saints on top, 1-0.
