The Bums had to overcome a fine effort from Barrow pitcher Barrett Lamb to grab a narrow 4-3 win at The Blizzard Bowl. Lamb went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Bob Sulewski was called on to finish, recording his 12th save. The Bums now have a mark of 27-27.
This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the ninth, Richard Koellerer hit a sacrifice fly. The Bums took the lead, 4-3.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Barrow manager Corey Conway. "But we decided not to take it."
