Dancin' Outlaws Get 7-1 Win Versus Winfield
|
The exploits of designated hitter Raúl Molina, who is tied for 7th in the AHL in bases on balls with 32, helped the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws defeat the Winfield Warriors, 7-1. Molina went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Yasukatsu Yonemura picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 6-0. Earning his 1st save of the year was Takeo Takano.
Early in the game, shortstop Tobias Carrillo had a bases-clearing double for West Virginia. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Dancin' Outlaws on top, 3-1.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Winfield manager Eric Stone.
The third-place Dancin' Outlaws now have a win-loss record of 28-25.
