Saints Lose Again, 6-3, to Pelicans

The St. Petersburg Pelicans topped the St. Paul Saints, 6-3, in Donnie Moore League action at Billy Mathews Field. The player of the game was St. Petersburg pitcher and Wiwilí, Nicaragua native Nelson Cardona. St. Paul now has a 9-game losing streak.
St. Petersburg took a 6-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, catcher Dan Stoner hit a grand slam home run that fired up the crowd.
"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Cardona. "And vice-versa."
