Road Warriors Pin 5-1 Loss on Blue Claws
|
The Westside Road Warriors got a strong performance from pitcher Emmanuel Even, who stymied the Baltimore offense en route to a 5-1 win at Old Bay Park. Clement Bowden closed the game out for Westside, earning his 2nd save. Westside, now 30-19, holds second place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.
José Alomar was a prime contributor to the Westside win. He was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. In the top of the fifth with two out, the 20-year old designated hitter hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-1, in favor of the Road Warriors.
"I thought we played a nice game," Alomar told the Westside Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
