Holder Stars in Shade Win
|
The St. Paul Saints and Stroudsburg Shade were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Saints Ballpark.
The Stroudsburg Shade easily defeated the St. Paul Saints, 20-4, at Saints Ballpark, with center fielder Greg Holder a main contributor to the win. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for Stroudsburg. The slumping Saints have dropped 7 in a row.
One consequential at-bat came in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, the batter, Kiyoshi Shinohara, hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 1-0, Stroudsburg, and helped them go on to win.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Ismael Rodríguez. "But it's got to translate into wins."
