Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Prowlers
The Oklahoma City Prowlers beat the Kansas City Tornadoes, 6-4, at Debris Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Shaun Sharp, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. The win was Félix Betancourt's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Munemori Abe took the loss for Kansas City. Oklahoma City currently is in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 21-33.

The most important at-bat for Oklahoma City came in the top of the 12th inning, when shortstop Eric Clements stroked a full count cutter to left-center for a run-scoring double, putting Oklahoma City up, 5-4.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Sharp. "I like it."
