Streaking Frosties Win Another One
|
The Barrow Frosties stopped the Stroudsburg Shade, 11-6, at Tim Raines Stadium. The Frosties got a big game from Pedro Paredes, who went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Jorge García got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Javier García sewed up the save, his 1st.
Barrow third baseman Jim Bennett contributed to the cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the second. For the game, Bennett went 1 for 2 with a triple and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We're playing like gangbusters right now," said Bennett.
The wins continue to add up for Barrow, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
