The Victoria Vikings used an offensive barrage to beat the Boise Bloodhounds, 10-1, at The drakkar. José López led the way, going 3-for-5 for Victoria. Raúl Lugo earned the win for Victoria. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1. The Vikings raised their record to 27-18.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the batter, José López, hit a 3-run home run. It helped Victoria seize the win.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Nick Brown.
