Tight Tilt Goes to Road Warriors, 3-2
|
The Westside Road Warriors got a stellar performance from pitcher António Aguilar, who handcuffed the Eugene offense en route to a 3-2 win at Prefontaine Park. Aguilar went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-1. Chris Bacon got credit for the save for Westside. It was his 11th of the year.
Miguel Rosero, the Westside shortstop, contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 2-1, Road Warriors. For the game, Rosero was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Rosero told the Westside Bulletin.
Eugene has now lost 5 straight.
