Li Excels, But Knights Win
The St. Paul Saints got a superb performance from third baseman Chia-liang Li, but the Kingwood Knights still won the game, 14-9. Li was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The Saints, now 19-23, have lost 4 in a row.

Roberto Vargas provided some late-game drama. In the bottom of the eighth, with no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Vargas hit a run-scoring double. It helped Kingwood take the lead and grab the win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Vargas.
