The Tree City Black Squirrels buried the Bel Air Princes, 12-1, under a barrage of hits. Nacho Cruz led the onslaught, going 3-for-5 for Tree City. Jun Zhou earned the win for Tree City. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 4-2. Tree City goes to 30-17. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
Cruz came through for Tree City with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. He hit a 1-0 fastball to left field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.
Bel Air manager Chris Sexton called the blowout loss "a real dud."
