|
Houston right-hander Everton Mailes was sensational in shutting out the Bethesda Hornets, 5-0. The 4th-place Sting improved to 19-24.
Mailes earned the win, going 7.2 strong innings for Houston. The native of London, England allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 9. Bethesda hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Mailes.
