Shade Come Back Late to Top Bush Wackers

The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a superb performance from pitcher Camilo Pascual. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Stroudsburg. The Shade won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Pascual was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Ted Thian picked up the save for Stroudsburg, his 9th of the year. The Shade now have a mark of 21-20.
Juan Hernández found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing Brisbane hurler Félix Ruíz, the 20-year-old designated hitter grounded out, driving in 1 run. His 12th RBI of the season put the Shade on top, 5-4.
In comments to the Stroudsburg Gazette, Hernández admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
