Dancin' Outlaws Fall to .500 After Loss to Frosties
|
Barrow got a first-rate effort from pitcher Guglielmo Tomei, who frustrated West Virginia hitters en route to a 3-1 Frosties triumph at Penlee Park. West Virginia has now lost 4 straight.
The Barrow win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Dean Ridgley. In the top of the fourth, the Barrow first baseman came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped West Virginia manager Enrique Ramírez. "Obviously."
