Pelicans Fall to Bums, 5-1

Not everyone stuck through the 42-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
With third baseman Bill Hardwick leading the charge, the Palm Beach Bums defeated the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 5-1, at Envoys Ballpark. Hardwick, the two overall pick in the 2031 draft, went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Danny Loftis earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 1 earned run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Earning his 3rd save for Palm Beach was Eddy Aguilar.
One of the key players for the Bums was catcher Raul Reynaga, who drilled a 2-run double in the bottom of the second inning. For the game, Reynaga was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
In postgame comments, Reynaga told the Palm Beach Bulletin: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
Palm Beach is 5th in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division with a record of 21-22.
