Jacks, Jedi Knights Fall to Mustangs
The Republic was the site for Lyman Bostock League action featuring the New Orleans Jedi Knights and San Angelo Mustangs.

New Orleans right fielder Justin Jacks had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Jacks went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3, even as San Angelo beat the Jedi Knights, 9-7. Jacks was named the player of the game despite the loss. The Mustangs, at 25-15, lead by one game in their division.

With his team trailing 7-6 in the top of the eighth, Roe Aamodt rose to the challenge. The San Angelo shortstop got hold of a fastball from Hao Yuen for a 3-run home run. The round-tripper put the Mustangs on top, 9-7.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Aamodt.
