In a close game at Woodland Park, the Eugene Emeralds edged the Houston Sting, 5-4. Eugene shortstop Matthew Bauer earned the nod as player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Eugene reliever Jorge Martínez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Aaron Carter shouldered the loss. Jim Unknown earned the save for Eugene, his 1st.
