Jedi Knights Rally For 6-4 Win
|
The Jedi Knights had to overcome a fine effort from Nichols pitcher Tsugunao Carroll to grab a narrow 6-4 win at The Republic. Carroll went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. New Orleans reliever Hao Yuen picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Dave Basurto took the loss. Rich Owen earned the save for New Orleans, his 9th of the year.
New Orleans took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Jesse Sutton hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Jedi Knights fans to their feet.
"Good win for us," said Sutton. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
The Jedi Knights improved to 22-12.
