Mafia Deal Jacks 3-2 Setback
|
The New York Mafia eked out a 3-2 win versus the Jacksonville Jacks at Don Corleone Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Mito Ishikawa, who captured player of the game honors. The Mafia now have a record of 19-36 with the win over Jacksonville.
New York designated hitter Doug White gave his club a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded and the Mafia leading 2-1, White hit a run-scoring single.
Afterward, Mafia manager Roberto Campos was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
