Tree City left-hander Jeff Spracklin made an effective start against the Eugene Emeralds at Prefontaine Park, leading his team to a 11-3 win. The first-place Black Squirrels have a one-game lead in their division.

Spracklin, who was born in Queens, New York, threw 90 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no earned runs.

"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Spracklin.
