Stroudsburg Shade starter Vincente Herrera was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 5-2. Herrera picked up the win for Stroudsburg, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. The win takes Stroudsburg to 16-15.

The Shade beat the Pelicans with some clutch hitting. The single by José Vargas in the top of the sixth is a good example. With two down, Vargas gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.
