Loss Extends Houston Losing Streak
The Victoria Vikings downed the Houston Sting, 6-3, at The drakkar. Francisco González led the way, going 3-for-3 for Victoria. Eric Stark got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Jean-François Blot closed it out for his 1st save.

There were several reasons the Vikings beat the Sting, but one factor was Cody Jones. In the bottom of the sixth, the Victoria designated hitter came to bat and hit a run-scoring triple. It staked his team to a 4-3 lead.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Héctor Flores. "But it's got to translate into wins."

With the loss, Houston falls to 10-20.
