Black Squirrels Win Streak Reaches 6
|
A 6-RBI performance from the 19-year old third baseman John Gero helped the Tree City Black Squirrels beat the Coney Island Cyclones, 7-1. Tree City, now 18-12, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Gero had a key at-bat for Tree City early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was his 20th hit of the season and gave Tree City an early 2-0 lead.
When asked about his performance after the game, Gero said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
