Victoria shortstop Francisco González had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Palm Beach at Envoys Ballpark. González went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Jason Cole in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Jack Thompson took the loss. The win gives the Bums a record of 12-14.
Palm Beach took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jerry Munoz hit a run-scoring double to make it 5-4, Bums.
