Black Squirrels Squelch Bloodhounds Offense in Shutout Win
|
Tree City right-hander Bob Galloway made an effective start against the Boise Bloodhounds at The Nut House, leading his team to a 5-0 win. Bruce Cunningham, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The Bloodhounds fall to 9-18 and continue to sputter in the early going.
In the bottom of the first, Guo-ning Siu hit a run-scoring single for Tree City. The 31st hit of the season for the Tree City shortstop put the Black Squirrels on top, 1-0.
In comments to the Tree City Daily, Siu admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
