Shade Pin 6-2 Loss on Blue Claws

Stroudsburg played host to Baltimore at the friendly confines of Tim Raines Stadium.
The Stroudsburg Shade beat the Baltimore Blue Claws, 6-2, at Tim Raines Stadium. The Shade got a fine performance from catcher Héctor García, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ted Thian recorded his 4th save for Stroudsburg.
García came through with some timely hitting for Stroudsburg. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth and no one down, García hit a 1-0 knuckle curve for a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season made it 4-2, Stroudsburg.
García expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
The Shade raised their record to 14-11.
