Black Squirrels Top Bloodhounds Behind Zhou, 3-0
|
Tree City starter Jun Zhou put a stranglehold on the Boise offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Black Squirrels to a 3-0 win. Cory Kieck, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. The Bloodhounds fall to 9-17 and continue their lackluster start in 2032.
Zhou earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Tree City. The native of Tanshui, Taiwan allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 9. Boise hitters did next to nothing against the left-hander.
Afterward, Black Squirrels manager James Lee was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
