Big Day by Franco Sparks Panthers Win
Dave Franco was the difference-maker for the Charleston Panthers in what turned into a shootout with the Nichols Gnats. Franco earned the player of the game award after going 3-for-4 in the 17-9 Panthers win. Brian Mullins picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Chris Eddy was tagged with the loss. Nichols, at 7-18, is off to a poor start in 2032.

Lucifer Sam had a nice at-bat for the Panthers with two out in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, the center fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run, which would prove important in the Charleston win.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Sam said.
