Aquino Delivers Clutch At-Bat for West Virginia in Walk-Off Win
|
West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws starter Juan Robles turned in a sterling performance against the Bel Air Princes, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. The win was Justin Taylor's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Shayne Cluff took the loss for Bel Air. The Princes, now 8-16, continue their poor start.
The Dancin' Outlaws were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Ángel Aquino turned a first pitch slider from Shayne Cluff into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Penlee Park denizens and sent the Dancin' Outlaws home with a thrilling 3-2 win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Aquino said.
