Blazers Go Down to Defeat, 4-3
|
In a tight contest at Sick's Stadium, the Seattle Sasquatch edged the Bloomington Blazers by the score of 4-3. Seattle designated hitter Kazuyoshi Takahashi, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. The win was credited to Garth Daniels in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Rubén Cabrera took the loss. George Fortin earned the save for Seattle, his 10th of the year.
With two out in the bottom of the third, Scott Stone stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put Seattle in front, 2-0.
"I was a little disappointed," said Bloomington manager Javier Ramírez. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Seattle is now 22-31, Bloomington 26-25.
