Panthers Rally For Late Win Over Gnats
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Ji-hoon Park, the Nichols Gnats suffered a 5-3 loss to the Charleston Panthers. Park went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jay Casbeer picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Dave Basurto was tagged with the loss. Freddy Aguilar closed it out for his 2nd save.

Michael Carew was involved in some late-game drama. With two out in the top of the eighth, Carew hit a run-scoring single. It helped Charleston snatch the win.

"This losing is getting old," said Nichols manager Reese O'Higgins.

Nichols, at 6-17, is off to a poor start in 2032.
