Hornets Fall to .500 After Loss to Frosties
|
Barrow Frosties starter Ryuya Kondo was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bethesda Hornets, 5-3. Juan Salinas closed the door for Barrow, picking up his 1st save of the year. Barrow is now 11-10.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Frosties had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fifth, when right fielder Dean Ridgley hit a 2-run single. The single came off Gabriel Martínez and made the score 2-0, Frosties. Ridgley went 1-5, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I just made my pitches," said Kondo, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
