Hot Start Continues for Jedi Knights
|
The first-place New Orleans Jedi Knights took on the Baltimore Blue Claws at The Republic.
New Orleans Jedi Knights starter Jesús Espinosa was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Baltimore Blue Claws, 5-3. The winning pitcher was Espinosa, now 3-1. He tossed 5.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Rich Owen earned the save for New Orleans, his 4th of the year.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Charlie Knickle went deep for the Jedi Knights. With New Orleans leading 2-0, he drilled a 2-run home run.
"This was a good win," said Knickle.
New Orleans, now 15-5, is setting the league on fire so far.
