Bloodhounds Fall Short, 4-3, at Charleston
|
Starting pitcher Raúl Garza pitched well enough to help the Charleston Panthers beat the Boise Bloodhounds by the score of 4-3. Garza got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Garza allowed 1 earned run. Freddy Aguilar locked down his 1st save.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when catcher David Giese hit a sacrifice fly. The Panthers went on to win.
Giese told a Charleston Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The Bloodhounds fall to 8-13 and continue their lackluster start to the 2032 season.
