Tisdale Excels, But Dancin' Outlaws Win
Fans who came to Woodland Park watched the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws and the Houston Sting fight to the finish.

The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws overcame a good performance by Houston third baseman Troy Tisdale to knock off Houston, 8-7, at Woodland Park. Tisdale went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Yasukatsu Yonemura got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Yuko Kinoshita closed it out for his 7th save.

There were several reasons the Dancin' Outlaws beat the Sting, but one factor was Ángel Aquino. In the top of the fourth, the West Virginia catcher came to bat and hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Aquino told the West Virginia Herald.

With the win, West Virginia goes to 12-9.
