Barajas Lifts Marauders to 5-3 Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from Angel Barajas, who is tied for 9th in the TML with a .944 OPS, helped the Maple Marauders beat the Brooklyn Black Knights, 5-3. Marcos León, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save. The Marauders move to 32-18 with the win, while the Black Knights drop to 29-23.
Barajas contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Maple in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Barajas took a knuckleball from Elijah Green and stroked the home run to right. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Marauders to leap in front, 4-1.
"We played hard and won," said Barajas. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
