Getting a good performance from catcher Hiroshige Inouye, the Westside Road Warriors defeated the Palm Beach Bums, 6-3. Inouye went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Road Warriors. The winner was Héctor Bello, who threw 85 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits. Chris Bacon earned the save for Westside, his 4th of the year.
Atsuhiro Matsuyama, who is tied for 10th in the AHL in runs scored with 11, helped out the Westside cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
Matsuyama told a Westside Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Palm Beach, at 5-13, is off to a poor start in 2032.
