Mafia Losing Streak at 9 After Extra-Inning Loss to Armada
|
Quebec and New York put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Quebec Armada defeated the New York Mafia, 8-4, at Don Corleone Park today. Leading the charge for Quebec was first baseman Shunso Fukuda. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Quebec reliever Darma Djojohadiksumo picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Kenny Allen was saddled with the loss.
Fukuda had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 0-1 fastball from Kenny Allen, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Armada a 6-4 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Fukuda.
"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Fukuda said.
The losses continue to mount for New York, which has now dropped 9 in a row.
