Jedi Knights Win 2-1 Walk-Off

The New Orleans Jedi Knights got a magnificent effort from pitcher Fred Antoine, who kept St. Paul hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Jedi Knights win at The Republic. New Orleans reliever Rich Owen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Craig Wyman was saddled with the loss. New Orleans is now 13-4.
Edwin Ruiz provided some late-game heroics for New Orleans. In the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a first pitch cutter from Craig Wyman and propelled New Orleans to a 2-1 lead.
"I like winning," Ruiz told the New Orleans Chronicle. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
