Bush Wackers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Tree City, 5-4
|
In a close game at Baylor Ballpark, the Brisbane Bush Wackers edged the Tree City Black Squirrels, 5-4. Brisbane pinch hitter Dan Thibodeau earned the nod as player of the game. He was 1-1 with a home run. Brisbane reliever Bernard Coste picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Cory Kieck was saddled with the loss. Brisbane is now 12-3.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Brisbane second baseman Ian Cutter, facing Cory Kieck, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Bush Wackers the 5-4 win.
"This place was rockin'," said Cutter.
